Six Taste is proud to present culinary tours in Little Tokyo! Over the past month, I’ve been MIA, because Alex and I have been working extremely hard to redesign the site, and set up all the logistics so we can offer culinary tours in Little Tokyo.
Little Tokyo is definitely somewhere where I love to hang out in my spare time. It’s one of the few areas in Los Angeles where it’s really easy and safe to just walk around and browse. The Japanese food here isn’t particularly known to be outstanding, but I’m telling you, Little Tokyo is underrated for its food; there are some real hidden gems.
That’s why we decided that it would be the perfect place to hold food tours - everything began to come together as we began developing this idea. Currently we are offering two types of tours - a tour we affectionately call our ‘Epicurious’ Tour - which gives people a taste of what we have to offer. It’s a shorter tour with only four stops, but believe me, you’ll leave full. Our second tour we call our ‘Gastronaut’ Tour - a 3.5 hour tour with 7 stops. This one is more of a balance between history, culture and the food, where as the Epicurious tour is a little more food focused.
Anyway, we’re really excited to begin offering this tour, and we know its just a start. So far we’ve gotten rave reviews about our tours and we’re excited to see where this goes!
