Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay cash?
Tickets must be purchased in advance to guarantee a spot. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. Cash is not accepted.
How far in advance should I book a tour?
We suggest that you book a tour at least a week in advance. For larger groups, we encourage you to book two weeks in advance.
If a tour is sold out can I get on a waiting list?
At this time, we do not provide a waiting list
Are gift certificates available?
Gift Certificates are available for all our tour locations. Get one now!
How do I redeem a gift certificate or coupon?
Gift Certificates or coupons can be redeemed by entering your promo code upon checkout.
Can I get a refund if I have to cancel?
We can issue a full refund in the case of an emergency. We purchase the food for the tastings on a per person basis, and many of our costs are incurred in advance. As such, if we cannot resell our tickets in time, we incur an additional loss and will have to charge you a cancellation fee of $20.
Can I reschedule?
We will reschedule your tour at no extra charge if we have enough time to resell your original ticket and we do not incur any loss. Please let us know as soon as possible when you would like to reschedule and we will do our best to accommodate you. For last minute reschedules, a fee of $20 will be required.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
For most of our tours, we can provide alternative dishes. All of our tours are vegetarian friendly, except for our ‘Delicious Dumpling’ and New Chinatown tours. If you would like to ensure we can provide alternatives, please email us at info@sixtaste.com or call us at 888.313.0936. Currently we can only provide limited substitutions for vegans or gluten allergies.
If I am bringing an infant or very young child, do I need to purchase a ticket for them?
If an infant or child is young enough that they are being carried and do not take up a physical seat at the dining establishments, you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. For children under the age of 10, a 50% off ticket can be purchased.
Is time allotted for shopping during the tour?
We do allow for some time at each of our stops for some quick purchases. While tasting items will be offered for free at each location, if you taste something you like, we encourage you to take some home with you and support local businesses!
Are tours offered only in English?
Yes. At this time we are only offering tours in English. If you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour, please contact us at info@sixtaste.com.
What happens if it rains?
We will hold a tour unless there is a severe weather warning. In case of severe weather, we will give a full refund to all tour participants. Severe weather includes heavy rainfall and/or thunderstorms. We will contact all guests by noon the day before the tour if we have to cancel due to severe weather.
May I bring my dog on the tour?
Due to the various food establishments we visit, pets of any kind are not allowed on our tours.
Should I give the guide a tip?
If you had a great time on the tour and wish to recognize the tour guide for a job well done, gratuities are greatly appreciated. Gratuities to the individual food establishments on the tour are included. Occasionally, two tour guides will be guiding the group – we do not expect tips for both, a tip for one guide would be more than appreciated.
Is the tour wheelchair and/or stroller accessible?
All of the establishments we visit are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Are there restroom breaks?
Yes, restrooms will be available throughout the tour and we are more than happy to take the time to make sure everyone is ready to move on!
Are cameras allowed?
Sure, go ahead and bring your camera - it will help you capture the experience!
