ABOUT FUGETSU-DO        

Fugetsu-Do is the oldest establishment in Little Tokyo with a rich 100+ year history. Brian Kito, current owner of the shop currently is a prominent community leader in Little Tokyo. Their quaint shop has maintained its look for decades, and they still serve delicious confectionaries such as manju and mochi. More recently, Fugetsu-Do has developed the popular peanut butter and chocolate mochis. The Kito family has played a central role in Little Tokyo History, and the development and growth of Fugetsu-Do is intertwined with the development and growth of Little Tokyo itself. On our tours, customers will get to try some of Fugetsu-Do’s famous confectionaries, as well as learn more about the history of the store and the influential role it has played on its community.
