Mitsuru Cafe is named after the owners mother, and the shop has been open in Little Tokyo for more than 30 years. Their location is famous for the traditional Japanese dessert, Imagawayaki. Imagawayaki is sweet azuki bean paste with a batter surrounding the treat. They cook their imagawayaki right next to the large windows of the store, where patrons can stop by and see how they make the famous treats. In addition, they offer popular skewer snacks like Takoyaki, Mitarashi dango, Pork Shu Mai, and Shrimp Balls. While people usually come to their shop for the Imagawayaki, they also serve a full menu in the restaurant. Mitsuru Cafe, and owner Rumi, are one of the staples of Little Tokyo.
