As the largest food tour company in Los Angeles, Six Taste exposes Angelenos and tourists to the dynamic landscape of Los Angeles through a 4-hour locally guided tour where guests try dishes at up to 7 different restaurants.
We are seeking charismatic and knowledgeable tour guides to lead 4-hour weekend and occasional weekday tours in several of our food tour neighborhoods. Work schedule depends on demand, which can range from 2-8 times a month. You will be taking a group of guests on a walking tour around a particular neighborhood of LA, sharing the history, culture, and cuisine of the area.
Base hourly pay + great tips. Past tour guides have received $100+ in tips for a 4-hour tour.
Requirements:
* Must be local (lived in LA for at least 10 years), have a deep interest and knowledge of LA's food scene, and have a reliable form of transportation.
* Must be energetic, friendly, articulate, responsible, reliable and responsive, smartphone proficient, excellent at customer service and problem-solving, and comfortable and confident with interacting and performing in front of groups
* Must have a flexible schedule with available weekend afternoons (between 10 AM-6 PM)
Preferences:
*Particular knowledge of Downtown LA, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Thai Town, Little Tokyo, Arts District, Koreatown, Glendale, and/or San Gabriel Valley
* Speaks multiple languages, particularly Thai, Japanese, Korean, or Chinese for our Asian-themed tours
* Has background in entertainment, education, tourism, or food/ hospitality industry
