Little Tokyo
Get a taste of Little Tokyo, one of the country's only 'Japantowns' and the very first original Six Taste tour. Guests will learn about Little Tokyo history, Japanese culture, and the local culinary scene.
This tour is not suited for a vegan or a gluten-free diet. We recommend setting up a private tour if you do have these dietary restrictions, and we'd be happy to customize for your group.
ITINERARY
Guests will be led on a route of about 6-7 eateries on roughly 4 walking blocks. The tour lasts up to 4 hours. Enjoy over 7 unique tastings that may include an informative and delicious tea demonstration with scones at a local tea shop, freshly made imagawayaki (red bean pastry) from a legacy Little Tokyo business, Japanese beer braised short rib tacos and dry rub wings in the back alley of one of the neighborhood's most beloved eateries in the 30s, pork ramen and homemade gyoza from one of the incredible ramen shops on historic 1st Street , curry doughnut from a small Japanese bakery tucked inside Japanese Village Plaza, fresh sushi from a husband-wife legacy business, green tea custard donut and blueberry matcha green tea latte at a local coffee/donut shop, made-to-order okonomiyaki and takoyaki from popular chains in Japan that have made their way to Los Angeles as first US locations, fruit mochi or rainbow dango at a famous multi-generational confectionary that opened in 1903, and more!
**Since we partner with over 100 different restaurants in LA, menus and tasting locations are subject to change.
